Blind Installer

This position involves loading, transporting, laying out and installing a variety of different window treatments for our commercial projects. Often involves carrying heavy cases up several flights of stairs. Involves using ladder or scaffolding for heights up to 20 ft. Coordinating our work with jobsite superintendents and other trades. Keeping detailed notes on installations. Obtaining field measurements for window treatments needing to be ordered. Servicing window treatments with operation issues. Maintaining a clean work area and leaving the projects spotless. Taking care of all the surrounding work of others. Abide by all OSHA regulations. Involves frequent travel. Must work well in a team environment. Demonstrates our 3 Core Values: Hard Work, Personal Accountability and Commitment to Growth. Requires drivers license. Pre-hire background check and drug test.

This position evaluates new project opportunities against our criteria that must be met in order for us to provide a bid. Must thoroughly read construction plans (drawings, specs, RFIs, addendums). Do a quantity and size takeoff of window treatments needed for the project. Match the correct product according to the specifications. Obtain a quote from the necessary suppliers. Calculate labor hours necessary to complete the job. Compile our pricing proposal and send it to contractors. Participate in bid review meetings with the contractor to clearly communicate what we included in our bid. Assemble submittal and sample packages for bids that we win. Update our bidding logs.
